What is IV therapy?
IV therapies or drips introduce fluid and essential minerals and vitamins directly into the body. There is no breakdown of nutrients in an IV as these bypass the stomach and liver and are delivered directly to where they are needed. IV infusions are not meant to be a substitute for oral intake, but they can help with hydration, rapid rehydration and replenishing nutrients. IV infusions can also deliver higher concentrations or vitamins than what the digestive tract can tolerate (in certain circumstances and conditions). Our therapies were developed by our Board Certified Integrative Medicine Physicians and Naturopaths from well researched formulas. All ingredients are sourced from FDA approved facilities and contain only natural materials including electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Some IVs contain FDA approved medications to help symptoms related to your primary complaint.

How long does an IV therapy / Vitamin Booster take?
Vitamin Boosters can be administered in seconds. IV therapy times depend on the volume of fluid desired and can range from 20 minutes for our Immune Booster and up to 3 hours for our Mega C 75 / High Dose Vitamin C IV! On average, 250 cc can take 20 to 30 minutes, and 1 liter may take up to 2 hours, but can be faster based on vein size.
Can anyone get an IV / Vitamin Boosters?
We welcome all patients in receiving our proprietary IV or Booster Shots. Our team members will ask that you complete an intake form and that they should be informed of any health issues, changes or concerns at each visit. Intake Forms are reviewed regularly and with any disclosed change in health status or medical history. For specific types of Vitamin C IVs, it may be necessary to have a consultation with our Healthcare Team known as a Provider Consultation.
Our processes and criteria are based on the same algorithms used in hospitals. Completion of the Intake Form helps us determine if an IV or Booster is right for you. It also helps to identify which individuals may be ineligible due to medical history or monitoring requirements. At Cura IV, we always ensure that your safety is a top priority.
Provider Consults with an Integrative physician or Naturopathic Doctors are required for our Mega C IV/ High Dose Vitamin C products only. A thorough assessment is performed for safety purposes and well as direction in the most appropriate way to receive your high dose vitamin C. We review your medical records, medication usage, heart health, and any current complications resulting from illness or otherwise prior to your initial vitamin C infusion.
What is a Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency?
The enzyme Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase safeguards red blood cells from oxidative harm. Inadequate levels of G6P can cause hemolysis, leading to the death of these cells during stressful times. Although deficiencies in this enzyme are uncommon, it is important to be aware of them before taking high doses of Vitamin C (greater than or equal to 25 grams) as you may not qualify for its use. Before starting high dose vitamin C infusions, you will be asked to consult with an Integrative Physician or naturopathic doctor of your choice.
What is our Cancellation Policy?
Our Hydrate IV can be prepared quickly, but please call ahead to see if staff are available for you. However, if you require any other personalized IV treatment, please give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can prepare the solution beforehand. Same day appointments may be available, so please call. Please note that if your scheduled session isn’t canceled in time and if we have already prepared your IV infusion, then we cannot provide a refund. We hope this policy makes sense to you as our team puts great care into creating each individualized IV infusion!
How often can I get an IV/ Vitamin Booster?
Everything depends on you! If you are experiencing illness, jetlag or recovering from a strenuous event, your initial IV / Booster may be enough. For maintaining wellness, many of our patients return every 1-2 weeks for IVs or weekly for Booster Shots.
Why use a Clean Room for IV production?
With our higher standards to safety and quality, we have chosen to make all our IVs (except Hydrate) in a 2 chamber Clean Room which follows a compounding pharmacy standard (ISO 7). Our provider gowns up and enters the Clean Room to produce all products under a fume hood to reduce the risk of contamination. THERE ARE VERY FEW IV CLINICS WHO MEET THIS STANDARD.

How quickly can I feel the results?
Each individual is different, but the more unbalanced one is, the more of a difference one may feel. An immediate difference may not be felt, but that doesn’t mean the therapy was not a benefit to you.
